Katrina Ogden Mysteries, Book 2: KO'd in the Volcano

Score: 4.75 (votes: 4)

"'K.O.'d in the Volcano', starring Honolulu police officer, Katrina Ogden, is a unique and delightful mystery set in the mysterious and beautiful Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. It is an intriguing story full of twists and turns that is sure to enthrall both real and armchair visitors of Hawaii's romantic and multicultural society. Grab your lei, watch out for the lava and hang on for the ride!"

"Victoria Heckman's 'K.O.'d in the Volcano' is a terrific novel. The plot is as fast and hot as the lava that threatens to blow from Kupaianaha and the writing so vivid you can feel the ensuing heat. Katrina Ogden is an intelligent and self-confident protagonist who remains genuine in nature, a refreshing change from so many of the carefully constructed and gimmicky characters that populate so many of today's mysteries. I recommend it highly."

--JR Ripley, author of the Tony Kozol mystery series

    Action-filled page turner

Heckman's Hawaiian murder mystery satisfies with smart writing, an eye for detail and characters you think about long after you've finished the book. A great read!

Take this on the plane like I did!

My sister told me to read this one and I really enjoyed it. Read it on my kindle and finished it by the time I got to the big Island. :) I can recommend this to anyone wanting a nail biter for a great price! Have fun with it!

    Hawai'i - The Big Island

Author knows the Big Island well and weaves the land and legends into an action filled plot. Enjoyed every word.

    Great series.

I have just finished the second book in this series and can't wait to start Book 3. KO is a great, likeable character. The story lines in Books 1 and 2 are interesting, and I look forward to reading more from this series.
