Katrina Ogden Mysteries, Book 2: KO'd in the Volcano

Score: 4.75 (votes: 4)

Honolulu police officer Katrina Ogden, also known as K.O., intends to become a homicide detective but she keeps becoming embroiled in cases that find her rather than the ones she’s assigned. Her job and her personal life, including a boyfriend and family--and her own personal stalker--keep her life interesting, challenging, yet ultimately fulfilling. Paradise is filled with dangerous creatures... and not just those in the Aloha State's beautiful North Pacific Ocean.

When Honolulu police officer Katrina Ogden lands an assignment at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, her working vacation turns ugly. Caught between two forces--murder and Madame Pele, Goddess of the Volcano--K.O. races against time in her struggle to save lives before the volcano's eruption sweeps them all away.

    Action-filled page turner

Heckman's Hawaiian murder mystery satisfies with smart writing, an eye for detail and characters you think about long after you've finished the book. A great read!

Take this on the plane like I did!

My sister told me to read this one and I really enjoyed it. Read it on my kindle and finished it by the time I got to the big Island. :) I can recommend this to anyone wanting a nail biter for a great price! Have fun with it!

    Hawai'i - The Big Island

Author knows the Big Island well and weaves the land and legends into an action filled plot. Enjoyed every word.

    Great series.

I have just finished the second book in this series and can't wait to start Book 3. KO is a great, likeable character. The story lines in Books 1 and 2 are interesting, and I look forward to reading more from this series.
