Sturdevant, Sheryle Criswell

Born in Ohio, but spending many years in New York and North Carolina, I now live in Richmond, Virginia, with my wonderful husband, Bob, our dog, Ari, two house cats, Blackie and Joey...and 17 homeless outdoor cats which we feed, and have had neutered with the help of a wonderful local volunteer rescue group. Between us we have four wonderful children and eight beautiful grandchildren. Can life get any better?

Now, as a retired Director, Drama teacher, Playwright, and Costume Designer for the past 30 years, I have won numerous awards for my plays, and directed or costumed over 60 shows in my career. I have also written 25 plays, which have won many awards over the years.

BERNIE BOLTON'S BIG APPLE CHRISTMAS, was the first of my BERNIE BOLTON BOOKS. Writer's Exchange has also published the second in the series, BERNIE BOLTON'S BROTHER. BOOK #3 in the series will be published soon. Also from WEE is STRINGS, a novel about a young girl's 3-year nightmare during the Holocaust.

I am currently working on a book of short plays which, I hope, will be published by Writers Exchange in the near future.

When Bernie had Mr. Soren in third grade, she thought he was the most amazing teacher in the universe. He played games, did wood shop, and every Friday he had what he called Free Friday, complete with movies and popcorn.

Well, Bernie has Mr. Soren again for fifth grade and has forgotten all of this now. Mr. Soren, the coolest teacher in the Universe, has now become the worst. Even worst than Miss Boggs...if you can imagine that!

Her wonderful fifth grade year, which she waited for all summer, is off to a really revolting start.
